The journey to get here to the Feuerstein nature resort is the first step to your active holiday in South Tyrol. To the south of the Brenner, sheltered from the wind by the mighty Alpine ridge, a world for all active experiences at every altitude opens out in the Pflersch valley. Parents who like getting out and about in the fresh air will find every opportunity to do just that. Enjoy a mountain tour up to the highest mountain hut of the Alps or enhance your holiday with an idyllic nature walk to the sunny Alpine meadows. And for adult mountain bikers, the Alpine countryside offers routes ranging from easy to difficult around your active hotel.
Winter activities are incomparable: Best-known for ski tours in the Alps, the Pflersch valley awaits you with spectacular routes and downhills through the compact firn snow. And while the parents are out and about on the glaciers with an experienced guide, the kids are enjoying age-appropriate adventures at the Feuerstein. And that’s how parents can enjoy a break and a spot of freedom for extra special moments on a holiday in the Dolomites.
The Becherhaus, the Müller hut or the Magdeburg hut. Some of the highest-altitude mountain huts in the Alps are situated in the rocky lands around the Active Hotel Feuerstein. And the trails leading to them are just pure walking bliss.

At the next signpost, turn right and head uphill. At around 1,500 metres a.s.l., the climb becomes a fixed-rope route (harness and carabiners required!). As you progress, the view on the tour opens out ever more, down into the valley and over to the peaks opposite, including the mighty Pflersch Tribulaun towering high above the Lampskopf. Alternative: At the fork in the road, it takes around 15 minutes to get to the Tribulaun mountain hut and farm and the magnificent Lake Sandes.
Descent: Left on trail no.8 and then take trail no. 6 at the crossroads. Then follow the signposts to “St. Anton”. After crossing the river (bridge), descend to the right until you get to your set-off point. Walking time: 6 h, Elevation gain: 1,260
The sunrise walk together to the Zinseler on the Penser Joch promises to be an emotion-packed experience.
While the world is slowly emerging from the cloak of the night, we don our headlamps and take a leisurely walk up to the summit. Once we get there, we enjoy a warming cup of tea and marvel at the sunrise and the surround mountain peaks as the morning mist slowly disappears. After a souvenir group photo session, we set off back downhill.
On this mountain tour from St. Anton/Innerpflersch, trail no. 27 leads over the steep, rocky lands to the Allriss Hut (1,534 m).
