Our loyal horses and ponies
From the little pony Simba to our fascinating gelding Shadow and from the snow-white grey mare Bella to our beautiful Haflinger lady Belina: each of our horses comes with its very own character and qualities! It is with great pleasure that we present the amazing residents of our equestrian centre.
Stanley
Our very youngest: Stanley, the foal of Belina and a Haflinger stallion, was born at the Feuerstein in April 2023. He is very playful and eager to explore everything. He also loves sunbathing in the meadows alongside his mum.
Shadow
Our Andalusian-looking black gelding has Friesian roots and came to us from Vicenza. Shadow likes to show himself and possesses a strong and enthusiastic expression. He is very sure-footed in the terrain and likes to carry his rider across hills and dales.
Belina
Our Haflinger mare, from the breeding of Norbert Rier, is a true beauty with an extremely lovable nature that is reflected in her tender gaze. Belina likes to show her affection for people by laying her head on a visitor's shoulder, waiting for him/her to hug her. When saddled, she is very spirited and eager to work.
Chris
Chris has its roots in Hungary. He is very calm, relaxed and very sensitive. In fact, he notices immediately when a less experienced rider sits on top of him. For then he moves particularly carefully. Our lovely Chris really enjoys being pampered while being groomed and saddled.
Bella
Our little dapple grey is indeed… “bellissima”, beautiful! She is small yet very powerful and in no way inferior to her bigger friends in the stable. Bella adores being groomed and loves to go on walks. One thing she likes even more: tasty food - and lots of it.
Chicco
Our little brown pony is from Milan. In Italy, his breed is known as “Doppio Pony”, which literally means “double pony”. He is bigger than a normal pony, but still much smaller than a horse. Chicco is always excited when you spend time with him and always strives at bringing joy to everyone.
Jans
Jans comes from the Netherlands. He is a full-blooded Shetland pony of first-class pedigree. The little gelding is extremely clever and always up for some fun time. With his jolly nature he will make everyone laugh but, be aware, you must not underestimate him: Jans is quite brave!
Pedro & Simba
These two little pony geldings are an inseparable father and son duo and love to play together. With Pedro, the children can enjoy pony rides while Simba is just starting his training. Simba has one special feature: in winter his coat is almost black, but in summer it turns into light grey!

Our lovely Stella is a horse that everyone can enjoy! She is of Portuguese origin and descends from a Paint Horse. She enjoys being out and about in the woods and meadows with her proud, upright posture and, together with her friends, she loves romping around on the pasture outside the stable.
Lilly
Our Lilly really loves children! She is very kind, enjoys being taken outdoors and adores being brushed and groomed.

Horse riding for every age and experience level
Whether it is the first joyful experience with a pony or a focused riding lesson: at the Feuerstein riding stable, young and older riders are carefully accompanied. Pony riding is available for our little guests from the age of 3, while riding lessons are possible from the age of 6. There are special offers for beginners, such as getting to know the horses, while advanced riders can book individually tailored private lessons or Cavaletti lessons. Several times a week, free pony riding takes place as part of the childcare programme for children aged 3 to 7, during which they can complete their first one or two rounds on a pony. Additional riding activities, such as pony riding, pony wellness, private riding lessons and Cavaletti lessons, can be booked for an additional fee.
Horse-riding lessons
From a lovely pony ride for our younger guests to trial lessons for beginners and up to professional cavalletti and vaulting sessions or ride-outs for more experienced riders: our equestrian centre is sure to offer something for everyone.
Pony rides
This is where young and small become best friends. As part of our childcare programme, we offer free pony rides several times a week. However, you can also decide to book a private pony ride (subject to a charge).
Frequently asked questions
Do riding lessons or pony riding need to be booked in advance?
Yes, we recommend registering before arrival, as the number of participants is limited. For enquiries and bookings, you can contact the riding stable directly at reiterhof@feuerstein.info.
Can the Feuerstein riding stable also be visited without riding?
The Feuerstein riding stable is open to visitors. Even without a riding lesson, families can get to know the horses and ponies and experience the special atmosphere at the riding stable.
Is riding equipment provided, or do guests need to bring their own?
Riding helmets and safety vests are provided on site. Guests are kindly asked to bring suitable, sturdy footwear themselves.
Does horse riding also take place in bad weather or during winter?
At the Feuerstein riding stables, there is a heated indoor riding arena. This means that riding lessons and horse experiences at the hotel with riding stables in South Tyrol can also take place in bad weather or during the colder months.
Are parents or siblings allowed to watch or accompany the riders?
Parents and siblings are welcome to watch and accompany the young riders. In this way, the riding experience often becomes a special moment for the whole family.
