The Feuerstein is tailor-made for children: a quick jump on the tractor, then off to the outdoor playground, a football match on the pitch and eventually a trip on the pirate raft to explore the pond. As a kids' hotel in the Alps, we are very connected to nature, with all of our hearts and senses. Who else teaches us more about life than Mother Earth? Thus, our childcare offers a varied and meaningful daily programme, according to the philosophy of Maria Montessori, who used to say that "children are guests who ask for directions". Our focus is on the children, their personalities and needs, as well as on the space they require to develop.

The most beautiful thing about waking up is the idea of the day that lies ahead. The anticipation of all the adventures to be experienced and the new friendships waiting to be made. This is what a day at the Feuerstein childcare might be like:

Let’s get ready to experience a cosy day at the Feuerstein! Fancy doing handicrafts with natural materials and colourful flowers?
11 a.m.
Sense and create with the earth: unleash your imagination and join us in creating fantastic things with clay!
12 noon
Busy people like us get a rumbling stomach –time for a delicious lunch!
1 p.m.
Let's stretch our legs: the waterfall hike leads us to discover the waterfalls around the Feuerstein.
2 p.m.
Let’s explore the dwarves’ forest to play with pine cones, branches, stones and everything that nature offers.
4 p.m.
Parent-child time: this is when the children's world belongs to the children and their parents.
6 p.m.
Flammi is hungry – and so are we! It’s time for a dinner at the Kids Table.

Frequently asked questions
Why does childcare apply set drop-off and pick-up times?
Set times are important for a proper planning and a regular routine. After joining the childcare, and in accordance with the activity programme, the groups are either outdoors in nature, in the garden or in other rooms.
Are siblings (3 and 6 years old) allowed to be in the same group?
Older children are welcome to join the group of younger ones. However, the other way round must be decided individually and discussed with the supervisors, as the little ones cannot participate in all activities of the older ones.
What are children up to in childcare?
On Sundays, the childcare programme is jointly defined with the children according to their interests. Indoor activities such as handicrafts can also be held outdoors, as the weather permits.
What is the “Feuerstein hour”?
The Feuerstein hour takes place from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is the moment to review the day and enjoy the evening with various activities.
