At the head of the Pflerschtal valley, the clocks appear to stop ticking. Embraced by the South Tyrolean Alps, our 5-star family hotel is a place of power where nature can be felt everywhere and at all times. Set amidst forests, waterfalls and towering mountain peaks, our resort is a harmonious place which provides space to develop and relax.

Family is our top priority. With us, everyone can be for themselves or spend time with their loved ones. This is precisely the philosophy that our hosts and staff embrace when they welcome you. Everything can be, nothing must be.

Your hosts: the Mader family

Peter Mader is not a classic hotelier, which is probably why the concept of the Feuerstein is that special. Formerly a plumber, he now successfully runs several businesses. Yet the Feuerstein is the project closest to his heart, to which he dedicates himself with all of his soul. Along with his wife Sarah and his daughters, he is constantly reinventing the very magic of the family holiday.

A good story requires the right elements: a brave hero, a sense for the future, a pinch of entrepreneurial spirit and, above all, commitment to all what is to come.

1982

Can you believe that it all started with a youth hostel?

Hotel Feuerstein used to be a guesthouse.

2000

Peter Mader buys the Feuerstein and launches a guesthouse. The first step into the future.

2004

Expansion to a total of 28 rooms and the addition of a new bar marked the leap to a 3-star hotel.

2008

Slowly but steadily, the Feuerstein begins to grow: it now includes a swimming pool and the family rooms.

2011

The chalets are built - and the hotel gains a little of its present-day atmosphere.

2016

Progressing in leaps and bounds: new suites, the play barn and wood workshop as well as the yoga and fitness room are in construction.

2017

Eventually, a new concept and a new design lead to the launch of the 5-star Feuerstein Nature Family Resort. A new era begins!

2022

Another highlight provides even more excitement during your family holiday: our equestrian centre with horses, ponies and a petting zoo.
