A small youth hostel becomes a 5-star family resort
25 years of Feuerstein Nature Family Resort – a quarter of a century of living our vision, continuous development and striving to create something extraordinary for our guests. What once began as a small youth hostel surrounded by nature in the Pflersch Valley is now an exclusive 5-star family resort that combines architecture, nature and hospitality in an incomparable way.
We look back with gratitude on the most important milestones of this journey, which have made Feuerstein one of the leading family hotels in South Tyrol. At the same time, we are looking ahead – to new ideas and projects that will make family holidays with us even more special.
The timeline tells the story of Feuerstein – from its early beginnings to formative milestones and visions for the future.
1982
Can you believe that it all started with a youth hostel?
2000
Peter Mader buys the Feuerstein and launches a guesthouse. The first step into the future.
2004
Expansion to a total of 28 rooms and the addition of a new bar marked the leap to a 3-star hotel.
2008
Slowly but steatily, the Feuerstein begins to groq: it now includes a swimming pool an the family rooms.
2011
The chalets are built - and the hotel gains a little of its present-day atmosphere.
2016
Processing in leaps and bounds: new suites, the play barn and wood workshop as well as the yoga and fitness room are in construction.
2017
Eventually, a new concept and a new design lead to the launch of the 5-star Feuerstein Nature Family Resort. A new era begins!
2022
Another highlight provides even more excitement during your family holiday: our equestrian centre with horses, ponies and a petting zoo.
2023
With the renovation of the dining rooms, the hotel is gaining the ambience that now gives it its special and exclusive charm for the first time.
Spring 2024
The Feuerstein Farm opens its doors – and quickly becomes a favourite place for children, who can now experience farm animals up close.
December 2024
The toddler area will be expanded significantly. In addition, there will be an action room with a Ninja Warrior course, iWall and Valo Jump trampoline, as well as a padel court and new office space for guests.
May 2025
With the opening of the Feuerstein Concept Store, you now have the opportunity to take a little piece of Feuerstein home with you.
