A year full of shared moments – our Feuerstein Year 2025

Father holding his child in front of the hotel in winter

Some years feel like more than twelve months. For us at the Feuerstein, 2025 was exactly such a year. One shaped by encounters, growth, and many small and large moments that stayed with us.

It all began with a winter that truly lived up to its name. Snow, clear days, and that special feeling when everything outside becomes quieter. The hotel garden turned into a winter wonderland, the slopes were filled with laughter, learning and skiing, and even on the Feuerstein Farm winter could be felt everywhere. A start to the year that brought lightness and joy.

Spring opened space for depth and new impulses. Particularly impactful were the Montessori Intensive Weeks in March with educator Saskia Wedel. Days full of mindfulness, inspiration, and valuable insights for families that continue to resonate. And we can already share a little preview: these special weeks will once again be part of the Feuerstein program this year.

With Easter, the winter season came to an end. The Easter Bunny paid a visit, and the sparkle in the children’s eyes was truly magical.

During the closing period, while the house rested, work continued behind the scenes with great dedication and creativity. Plans were made, designs created, and ideas brought to life. The results were worth the wait: our new Concept Store opened its doors, and the new heated swimming lake (May – October) became part of the Feuerstein world. Places that now invite guests to linger, explore, and breathe deeply.

Summer brought movement and adventure. The horse weeks with riding badges were once again a highlight. Beginners and advanced riders alike grew beyond themselves and returned home not only with certificates but with confidence and equestrian skills. The Teenie Weeks set new standards with overnight stays in mountain shelters, camping in nature, rafting, high‑rope climbing, and many shared experiences. Meanwhile, parents used the time for challenging bike tours and long hikes in the surrounding mountains.

September brought several special events. Midwife Stephanie Rex visited the Feuerstein and shared her knowledge and experience in intense, meaningful encounters. At the same time, we celebrated an anniversary that fills us with pride: 25 years of the Feuerstein Nature Family Resort. A quarter century of vision, courage, development, and above all, families who have filled this place with life.

In autumn, passion and determination became visible. Chef Andrea Moccia confirmed the Green Star with the gourmet restaurant Artifex and additionally earned three Gault Millau toques. An award that stands for quality, integrity, and responsibility. Our Spa area also received great recognition and was honored with the Leading Spa Award 2025.

November brought calm back to the house. Wellness and relaxation moved into focus, accompanied by a ritual that has become a cherished tradition for many: the incense meditation with our dear Brigitta. A moment of stillness that creates space for reflection and letting go, especially in this quieter time of year.

And now, in December, the circle closes. With our new reception, which is not only a new place of arrival but also symbolizes what the Feuerstein stands for: openness, growth, and the mindful shaping of encounters.

At the end of the year, we want to say thank you. Thank you to all guests who were part of this journey in 2025. Thank you to our team, who bring this place to life every single day. And thank you to all who accompany, shape, and continue to develop the Feuerstein.

We look forward to 2026 with joy. To new ideas, new paths, and many shared moments. And who knows what plans are already taking shape at the Feuerstein. We look forward to bringing them to life together.
