Together with the team, he wants to continue developing the Feuerstein while preserving what defines our resort: high quality, heartfelt hospitality and a family holiday where guests of all ages feel completely at ease.
For Franz, being a host means far more than providing excellent service. It is about meeting people as equals, creating genuine connections and making special moments possible. This mindset has accompanied him for many years throughout his career in tourism and hospitality.
His professional journey began with a degree in history in Innsbruck and Florence. In the early 1990s, Franz moved into the tourism industry, initially gaining experience in the marketing and sales of hotels and ski resorts. He then took on various management positions in South Tyrol, Austria and Switzerland. For ten years, he managed the Schwemmalm ski area in the Ultental Valley. He later returned to the hotel industry and worked as Director of Athesia Hotel GmbH, where, alongside the operational management of the hotels, he also supported various hotel projects.
What particularly inspires him about the Feuerstein is the combination of five-star quality and a consistent focus on families. Bringing together the different wishes of children, parents and grandparents while at the same time creating a special holiday experience is, for Franz, both a demanding and highly rewarding task.
Honesty, warmth and mutual respect are also especially important to him when working with the team. Everyone brings their own strengths and responsibilities, but what matters most to Franz is that people meet one another as equals.
In his private life, Franz is very much a family person. He likes to spend his free time with his family and his dog in the South Tyrolean mountains, especially around Sterzing. He is also passionate about the pleasures of life, particularly wine and gastronomy.
